Global Technology Manager

We are looking for a Global Technology Manager with a strong knowledge of the pulp making technologies and a commercial mindset to join our Fiber Daily Spares (FDS) team within our Spare Parts Technology Unit.
Spare Parts TU has the responsibility to provide reliable OEM spare parts to support all maintenance operations of customers within Pulp, Board, Paper & Tissue industries. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Fiber Daily Spares.
You will have a defined technology family responsibility and you will actively support Area Sales teams globally in key customer activities (e.g., solution selling, agreements, technical sales presentations).
Your location can be one of the key Valmet locations in Sweden i.e. Sundsvall or Karlstad.
In this role, you will be responsible for proactive:
Technology strategy ownership and implementation: Growth opportunity identification, action plan development and execution together with Areas to capture the opportunities in your defined technologies Market share and competitor follow-up Product portfolio management to develop the cost competitiveness and performance of the portfolio, and drive growth and profitability Product and solution development (incl. launch of new products in Areas) Global sales support on customer site or internally in Areas Product and sales capability building in the Areas Support Area organization in launches, sales and delivery projects
To succeed in this role, you need to have:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering/technology or other relevant field At least 5 years of relevant experience in working with pulp making technologies Strong knowledge of Pulp-machines related technologies and equipment i.e. Cooking, Washing, Bleaching, Fiberboard, Mechanical pulping and Causticizing Strong customer and sales skills (e.g., sales presentations, people, negotiation skills) Excellent written and verbal communication (Fluent in English) Solid analytical skills and ability to work with numbers Capable and willing to travel internationally 60-80 days annuallyYou are customer focused and development minded professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to build and maintain good relationships with both external and internal stakeholders in different cultures. You prioritize and take ownership of your value-adding work, you proactively and independently define and pursue your goals, but you are fundamentally a team player.
