Position Overview
As a Sourcing Manager at Permobil in Kista (Stockholm), Sweden , you will play a crucial role in enhancing our competitive advantage by efficiently sourcing products, services, and solutions. You will manage a diverse supplier base across various categories and regions, focusing on a wide variety of items with low to medium volume per year. Key responsibilities include reducing costs, creating value, ensuring quality and compliance, and contributing to environmental initiatives like CO2 reduction. A critical aspect of your role will be assessing and improving supplier performance to ensure they consistently meet our standards for quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Management : Develop and implement innovative category strategies, classify and segment suppliers, and manage the approved supplier list. Supplier Management : Analyze spend and markets, mitigate risks, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, conduct audits, find new suppliers and onboard them, drive supplier development, and phase in and out suppliers. Operational Excellence : Drive the RFx process, implement productivity initiatives, and manage cost-saving projects. Collaboration and Leadership : Lead category teams, conduct business reviews, lead projects, and collaborate with various departments. Compliance and Sustainability : Ensure compliance with standards and actively contribute as part of the sustainability team, focusing on reducing CO2 emissions. Diverse Supplier Base Management : Manage a supplier base with a wide variety of items, across different categories and regions, adapting strategies for diverse suppliers.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, economics, or a related field Previous experience in sourcing, strategic purchasing, or supply chain roles Strong understanding of supply chain management and contract negotiation Good financial skills to evaluate total supplier costs Proficiency in relevant IT systems, including Microsoft Office suite Good technical understanding, including the ability to read and comprehend technical drawings Effective under pressure with strong logical and analytical thinking Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement category strategies Results-oriented and solution-focused Persuasive, influential, and detail-oriented Excellent relationship management and communication skills Ability to work with suppliers to reduce CO2 emissions and collaborate with an internal team of experts on sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives Ability to manage multiple projects and suppliers simultaneously Fluency in Swedish and English Willingness to travel domestically and internationallyWhy Join Permobil?
