About this opportunity
Welcome to Large Corporate & Institutions Legal. We provide inhouse legal advice to all business units within Large Corporate & Institutions in Nordea, working across all our four Nordic locations as well as New York. The role offers stimulating tasks relating to financing and ranging from complex transactional work to cash management, trade finance and internal projects.
What you’ll be doing:
Give legal advice within the LC&I product range with primary focus on Swedish and international financing transactions (including corporate, leveraged, real estate and fund finance) Advise and collaborate with internal business units on structuring of transactions Draft and participate in negotiation of documentation relating to transactions Coordinate and cooperate with Nordea's external legal counsels engaged in transactions Dealing with general matters of law, in particular financing, company and insolvency law and assisting LC&I units in their various business activities Participating in projects related to business and product development as well as regulatory implementation within LC&I You will join a strong Nordic team consisting of around 50 highly skilled lawyers in a dynamic and challenging environment in one of the major in-house legal networks in the Nordics. The role is based in Stockholm and you will formally be part of the Swedish team consisting of 14 lawyers, but working closely together with our Nordic colleagues. We prioritise and focus not only on having high a level of integrity and legal skills, but also on creating and maintaining an informal and accommodating working environment, not only in our team but also with internal business units.

At least four to six years of experience as legal counsel in wholesale banking environment, financial institution, corporate treasury department or a banking and finance practice at a law firm Experience from complex financing transactions Additional expertise in banking products, derivatives, and/or capital market areas is valued A genuine interest in the financial markets and a determination to become a leading lawyer in the Nordics in this field A Master of Law degree from Sweden Excellent language skills in English and Swedish
