Senior UX Researcher (Mixed-methods)

With 300+ R&D engineers located in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund, we are trailblazing the path to future 5G wireless systems with a focus on standardization, research and pre-development.

Product design and research at Huawei is a big community of 200+ UX and interaction designers and researchers internationally.

You will be part of the User-Centered Design Lab, a satellite design and research studio in Lund, Sweden. UCD Lab consists of 10 colleagues who are highly creative and efficient. People of UCD have a high capacity for international collaboration. The team already has one senior UX Researcher and would like to expand Huaweiâs European user research sources.

Where your expertise is needed

  • You will collaborate with different stakeholders across different teams in other countries on complex high-impact user research projects to deliver actionable research insights.
  • Finalizing many research projects starting from zero: planning, conducting, analyzing and synthesizing studies for impactful design decisions in digital and physical products in different product development cycles.
  • Prioritization of user insights according to their impact and efforts.
  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data and presenting data-based insights to audiences with different backgrounds.
  • Applying a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods (mainly qualitative and quantitative usability testing -even for prototypes-, in-depth interviews, and surveys)
  • Creating new ones, validating user journeys and flows, and creating and updating personas and JTBDs.

 

Whom we are looking for

  • You can easily use a variety of methods together. You can explain the reasons for your choices to team members who need to be more knowledgeable about research methods and sample sizes.
  • You can combine qualitative and quantitative behavioural and attitudinal methods.
  • You have experience in B2B user research and have a basic understanding of complex enterprise products.
  • You have a bachelorâs or masterâs degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Applied Psychology, Cognitive Science, Interaction / Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • You mentored junior user researchers or teammates from different backgrounds.
  • You are comfortable speaking English professionally but know or speak one or more European languages for the interviews. (German, French, Spanish, or Italian are preferable.)
  • You are experienced with workshop facilitation.
  • You are patient in learning internal tools and applications for research, workshops, collaboration, and time management.

You live in Lund or nearby towns or are eager to relocate to Lund, Sweden.
