The Senior Quality Assurance Manager Freight and Logistics for Cytiva is responsible for Quality Assurance supporting our logistic and warehouse operations.

The Quality Manager, Freight & Logistics is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our distribution activities within Cytiva. The individual in this position will oversee the development and implementation of quality procedures, provide guidance and support to Cytiva Freight & Logistics, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Assurance Manager will partner with Regulatory to stay ahead of industry trends and expectations, be responsible for conducting and hosting audits whilst promoting a culture of quality and excellence throughout the organization. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team and ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently met.

This position is part of the Cytiva Quality Assurance group is located in our Belgium, Sweden or Indianapolis United States at a global Cytiva location. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Leading Freight & Logistics Global Quality Assurance Team including people management, team’s performance, coaching and mentoring.

• Defining, developing, and implementing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements applicable to Freight & Logistics organization with close links to the Cytiva global QMS team.

• Providing overall quality management across global distribution sites and carrier/forwarder lanes, leading daily management , trend and implementation of continuous improvement

• Ensure planning and management of cross functional support to customer and certification body audits.

• Lead the Complaint Handling Unit development and execution to achieve targeted complaint reduction and timely closure of complaint through daily management and the application of CAPA as required.

• Lead the Complaint Defect Reduction and Tracking program through effective program management and cross-function integration with Cytiva business units

• Provide collaboration and support to site manufacturing teams related to logistics complaints, status, escalations, and feedback support

• Understand customer requirements and expectations as well as business needs and take proactive measures to leverage the QMS as a competitive advantage for the business.

Who you are:

  • At a minimum, a relevant bachelor's degree e.g. Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Supply Chain, Logistics.

  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams globally.

  • Extensive experience in quality assurance, with a focus on developing and implementing Quality Management Systems certified to ISO9001/ISO13485

  • Experience driving continuous improvement/lean initiatives in quality assurance or equipment services.

  • Externally/customer focused with experience managing customer relations.

  • Willing to travel 30%

    It would be a plus if you also have the following experience or ability:

  • A leadership position in Freight & Logistics

  • Experience in Life sciences / Biopharma industry / GMP

  • Located or willingness to relocate to our Center of distribution in Indianapolis India, Bornem, Belgium, Uppsala, Sweden
