About Us

Hitachi rail is a global provider of rail solutions. In Sweden, we are delivering advanced railway signaling systems that meet the highest safety and performance standards.

We are now looking for a Verification, Validation and Test Engineer to join our team in Solna, Stockholm.

This position is lab based, focusing on testing signaling systems and subsystems prior to field integration.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, execute and maintain test plans and specifications
  • Configure and operate lab test environment (simulators, hardware)
  • Perform functional, regression testing
  • Record, analysis and report test results
  • Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to clarify issues and support problem solving
  • Follow EN /29 standards

Team & Work environment

  • Small Local team - You'll be joining a compact on-site team in Solna, where your contribution is highly visible and you'll gain broad, hands-on experience
  • International Collaboration - Much of our engineering support& development comes from Italy, so excellent communication skills and cultural awareness are essential
  • Proactive mindset- We value engineers who work independently, identify solutions and drive activities forward

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years' experience in testing
  • Understanding of the V-cycle and requirements-based testing
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Experience with test tools, simulators and lab se-ups
  • Basic knowledge of railway signaling concepts
  • Strong communication skills for multi-site cross-cultural collaboration
