The role
The role will report to Transformation Director

Location for this position is Stockholm (Sickla) .

Purpose of role

A critical and urgent component of our new transformation within Intrum Sweden is to accelerate the build-up of automation capabilities to meet local needs and enable operational efficiencies.

As Head of Automation CoE, you will lead the establishment and scaling of our local Automation Centre of Excellence, with responsibility for platforms, product ownership, and technical delivery. The role includes building and managing a strong team as well as engineering and implementing RPA and Intelligent Automation solutions – both locally and by effectively onboarding global solutions.

Responsibilities of role

• Establish and lead the Automation CoE, including strategy, roadmap, and ways of working.
• Take people leadership responsibility, including recruitment and capability-building within RPA and Intelligent Automation.
• Drive the development, integration, and implementation of automation technologies (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate).
• Support value streams and other parts of the organisation with automation resources and solutions to deliver quick efficiency gains.
• Take responsibility for platforms and product ownership, including backlog prioritisation and platform development.
• Collaborate closely with global teams to onboard global automation solutions to local needs.
• Ensure all solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Your Background

We believe you have:

• A relevant university degree in IT, technology, or equivalent.

• At least 7–10 years of leadership experience in automation, RPA, or process improvement.

•A proven track record of building and leading teams within technical development and automation.

• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining RPA and Intelligent Automation solutions.

• Solid understanding of platforms, integration, and system architecture.

• Knowledge and experience in Process Analytics, Process Mapping, Service Design, low-code platforms, and working with agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe) is considered highly meriting.

•   Experience from regulated industries (preferably financial services) is a plus.

•   Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery.
