We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our Happy Crew as Head of Production -a key role responsible for leading our product development, production office in Turkey, sustainability, quality, compliance and buying teams managing everything from strategy and sourcing to supplier relations, procurement and production. You'll report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a vital role in shaping the future of our products worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the overall strategy, planning and development of Happy Socks' global supplier base - ensuring strong partnerships, quality, margin and efficient on-time-production for current and future product lines - in close collaboration with CMO and CCO to build a range for the future.
  • Secure and build a resilient and competitive supplier base that supports our evolving assortment strategy.
  • Drive sourcing projects, innovation, and sustainability initiatives (Scope 3), including the onboarding of new global suppliers.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle -from initial tech packs through production -and be ready to pivot quickly for better products and business results. Read the business and always be one step ahead for supplier needs and understand the requirements to be ready with solutions - or to find solutions
  • Oversee product costing and margin performance, leading confident, data-based price negotiations in very close alignment with close alignment with Executive Team stakeholders .
  • Ensure quality, compliance, margin and lead time requirements are met through robust procedures and monitoring.
  • Inspire, mentor and develop a talented international team of product developers, buyers and production experts, fostering collaboration, creativity and accountability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Planning, Logistics, Assortment, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to ensure every delivery is smooth, on time, and full of Happy Socks energy.

Who You Are

  • You come with an entrepreneurial attitude, ready to build the next phase of product at Happy Socks
  • A hands-on-leader with at least 7 years' experience in apparel or textile production, sourcing, buying, and compliance.
  • Educated in textiles, production or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skilled in building and nurturing supplier relationships, with a strong international network in textile production (especially in Turkey and Asia). You preferably come with your little black book of contacts.
  • Deep understanding of product costing and negotiation techniques, quality assurance, compliance and CSR principles.
  • Experienced in PLM systems (Delogue is a plus), ERP systems (Business Central is a Plus) and BI tools (Sigma is a plus).
  • A strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, creative and global environment.
