We are looking for a Junior Exterior Designer for a global company in Gothenburg.

Start is January 2026, 3 months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

The Junior Exterior Designer will support our clients team in the development of both concept and production vehicle programs.The assignment involves close collaboration with senior designers, digital and clay modelers, engineersand visualization specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality exterior design proposals and sketches aligned with client's design vision and brand identity.
  • Assist senior designers with theme development, design refinement and surfacing intent.
  • Work closely with clay and digital modelers to translate 2D sketches into 3D physical and digital models.
  • Prepare design presentations, renderings, storyboardsand visual materials for internal reviews.
  • Explore innovative ideas, materialsand form languages that evolve client's future design direction.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Master's degree in Transportation Design, Mobility Design, or Industrial Design
  • Graduation from a recognized international design school is a strong plus

Experience

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships).
  • Previous work or collaboration with a Chinese automotive brand is advantageous.
  • Experience in advanced design studios or concept design environments is a plus.

Design & Technical Competencies

  • Excellent 2D sketching ability and strong visual storytelling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Blender (explicit requirement).
  • Solid understanding of form, proportion, surface developmentand design quality.
  • Familiarity with the full design development process, from ideation to physical model creation.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative teams (modelers, engineers, visualization).

Software Requirements

  • Blender: advanced proficiency
  • Photoshop: strong sketching and visualization capability
  • Alias (or equivalent 3D CAD): beneficial
  • Adobe Creative Suite: (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) for presentations and

storytelling

  • Experience in video and photo editing is preferred
