Role Overview

A quality-focused engineering team is seeking a Swift QA Engineer with a balanced skill set across hands-on testing and automation. The role spans multiple Apple platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, with responsibility for ensuring high standards of reliability, performance, and user experience. The position combines manual testing with Swift-based automation and involves close collaboration with engineering and design functions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Executes functional and regression testing across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and related environments
  • Creates, documents, and maintains test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases
  • Identifies, reproduces, and reports defects and usability concerns with accuracy and clarity
  • Transforms manual test scenarios into automated test suites using Swift-based tools such as XCTest and XCUI
  • Monitors test coverage, evaluates results, and communicates quality insights to stakeholders
  • Works closely with developers and designers to refine features and elevate user experience
  • Contributes to the overall visual and functional quality expected from premium Apple-platform products

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Swift
  • Experience or strong interest in test automation using XCTest and XCUI
  • Solid background in manual QA and structured testing practices
  • Familiarity with Unix-based environments, shell scripting, and Python to support testing workflows
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in fast-moving environments

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Exposure to device-level or hardware-oriented testing
  • Knowledge of Objective-C, SwiftUI, or Apple development tooling
  • Experience with automated test pipelines, reporting dashboards, or quality metrics systems

Education & Professional Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, preferably within Apple ecosystems or other complex software platforms

Work Environment

This is a hands-on, onsite role based in Malmö, requiring presence five days per week. The position suits an engineer who enjoys working directly with real devices while also writing clean, maintainable Swift test code in a collaborative, detail-driven environment.
