Your role

As a System Engineer for System Mechanic, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining complex mechanical systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, analysing, and improving mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to project requirements. Your role will also involve conducting research and development, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. In smaller business units, you may also be responsible for systems safety and testing

Your profile

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on system mechanics. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential, along with several years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in CAD software, finite element analysis, and other relevant engineering tools is required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team are crucial. Basic knowledge regarding power and computers. Experience in defence or aerospace industries is a plus but not mandatory.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
