About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Civil Lead
to join our team and support the design and delivery of large-scale data center projects across the Nordics. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in data center civil engineering along with proven leadership across design phases and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all civil engineering activities for data center projects.
  • Manage design deliverables across
    design phases 2, 3, and 4
    , ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Oversee earthworks planning including
    cut and fill
    , site grading, and geotechnical risk management.
  • Coordinate underground utilities and services, ensuring proper integration with structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
  • Develop and review civil design documentation including drainage, water management, and stormwater retention systems.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and risk management during design and pre-construction phases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and contractors throughout design and execution.
  • Provide expert guidance on civil standards, regulations, and best practices within the data center sector.
  • Conduct design reviews, approve deliverables, and mentor junior engineers when required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum
    5 years' experience
    in senior or lead civil engineering roles within the
    data center industry
    .
  • Proven experience delivering
    design phases 2, 3, and 4
    .

Strong technical background in:

  • Earthworks (cut and fill)
  • Underground services & utilities
  • Water management & retention systems
  • Geotechnical engineering and soil management
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

Based in Sweden near the clients office is preferred; candidates located elsewhere in the Nordics may also be considered. Ability to work remotely part-time in later stages of the project (subject to team agreement).
