Laboratory Engineer

We are now looking for a Laboratory Engineer with a background in programming, automation, and robotics to join our team in Gothenburg. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of modern laboratory methods and equipment, while also supporting daily laboratory operations.

Our Professional Hygiene laboratory is home of the Tork product range, with a focus on verifying our Tork dispenser systems . As a Lab oratory Engineer, you will play a dual role: supporting standard lab engineering tasks and leading or supporting initiatives to automate and enhance our laboratory methods and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that improve efficiency, precision, and scalability in our laboratory environment.

You will be responsible for the product verification and testing as part of an innovation or product development project as well as supporting our mills or sale functions in the geographical business units. You will plan, perform and evaluate laboratory testing on products in the Tork Portfolio . You will be part of a team of many laboratory engineers with different experiences and backgrounds where you will contribute with your knowledge and expertise in the area.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Universal Robots (UR) and a passion for integrating robotics into laboratory workflows.

This is a permanent position based in Mölndal.

• Plan, propose and perform evaluation and laboratory testing on our products with main focus on Dispensers.

• Present, document and report test results.

• Develop, test, and implement automation solutions for lab oratory processes and equipment.

• Perform data analyses and statistical evaluations as base for your evaluation .

• Program and operate UR robots and surrounding systems to support method development.

• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory systems and software.

• Develop, evaluate, and validate new laboratory methods to meet consumer and business needs.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Materials, or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience

• Experience from laboratory work or product testing in a global setting is an advantage

• Preferably experience from working with statistical analysis and analytical programs

• Basic proven programming skills and experience or curiosity about Robotics/Automation

• Experience with UR Robots is ideal but not essential

• Good communication and presentation skills in written reports as well as in discussions

• Written and verbal fluency in English
