Our ambition is to become the leading biogas player in the Nordics and play a decisive role in the energy transition. We cover the entire biogas value chain, from feedstock supply to distribution and sales to end users.
Our goal is to achieve biomethane production of 3 TWh and biomethane sales of 6 TWh by 2030, with a focus on heavy transport, shipping and industrial applications.

St1 Biokraft is growing — and our facilities play a key role. Here we produce sustainable biogas that contributes to a fossil-free transport system. We are now looking for someone who wants to join the journey and contribute their expertise as a Process Engineer.
In this role, you will work closely with our existing and upcoming production facilities and be part of a dedicated team driving technology development, optimisation and innovation. Your contribution makes a difference — both for the environment and for our fast-growing company.
The position is based in Stockholm and reports to the Head of Process & Project Engineering. This is a
parental leave cover
for one year, starting no later than January (earlier start preferred). There are good prospects for extension after the end of the assignment.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in investment projects as a process engineer and/or project manager.
- Join or lead teams to optimise processes at our production facilities.
- Support R&D in internal projects as well as research and development initiatives.
- Contribute to ongoing internal improvements in collaboration with other departments.
- Assist the company's production facilities with process monitoring and follow-up.
About you
- Experience as a process engineer, preferably in biogas production, is advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead projects and progress them effectively.
- Experience with laboratory work.
- MSc in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Flexibility to lead and participate in assignments both in Sweden and internationally.
