About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with Tech Lead experience to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will drive the modernization, optimization, and scaling of our Android applications, which are used by millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of our app, transforming legacy codebases into modern, maintainable systems while mentoring a growing team of engineers

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, modernization, and technical strategy of a high-impact Android app.
• Define and implement scalable, modular architectures, adopting modern Android technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, QA, backend developers, and product owners to deliver world-class mobile experiences.
• Refactor and modernize existing codebases to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive the adoption of Kotlin best practices, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and modularization.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and automated build and release processes.
• Serve as a technical mentor and leader, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and continuous learning.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance audits to maintain high technical standards.
• Partner with backend and product teams to ensure cohesive, scalable system design.
• Champion code quality, automated testing, and observability, laying the foundation for sustainable growth.

Requirements:

• years of Android engineering experience with strong Kotlin expertise.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale app development and implementing modern Android architectures (Clean Architecture, MVVM, modularized systems).
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and the latest Android SDKs.
• Strong understanding of app performance, memory management, and concurrency.
• Experienced in designing and optimizing CI/CD workflows (Gradle, GitHub Actions, Codemagic, Firebase App Distribution).
• Passionate about testing, reliability, and automation (JUnit, Espresso, MockK, etc.).
• Excellent communicator capable of aligning engineering, product, and design teams around a shared vision.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and skilled at balancing long-term architecture goals with short-term delivery needs.
• Experience with Firebase, Maps/Location APIs, or modular multi-module projects is a plus.
