We are seeking a driven and strategic leader for the position of Strategic Projects and Innovation Leader for our Protein Research Business within Discovery & Medical. In this role, you will take ownership of high-impact business projects from both a business and technical perspective, including the evaluation of BD initiatives from a technical standpoint.

You will join a dynamic team of Product Management Leaders, Strategy Leader, and Business Operations Leader, reporting to the Protein Research BU Leader. Together, you will contribute to a collaborative growth and innovation engine where strategic thinking, simplification, and continuous improvement are key to success.

What You'll Do

Act as the business lead or lead strategic projects within Protein Research to establish and deploy long-term strategic goals and annual business objectives.

Drive alignment between Protein Research Product Management teams and R&D in the early innovation process. Chair the innovation council, lead early product concept definition activities, and act as business lead in technology development forums.

Lead technical evaluation of BD initiatives in close collaboration with the Protein Strategy Leader, PM Leaders, and R&D.

Develop strong working relationships across various OpCos and functions, including Discovery & Medical, Hardware Solutions, BioProcess Resin & Technologies, R&D, Operations, Sourcing, and Commercial, to ensure engagement and action on projects that deliver growth, new innovations, product quality, and security of supply.

Engage closely with Product Management teams to drive innovation ideas in the early exploratory phases.

Leverage the Danaher (DBS) toolbox to maximize efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives to meet agreed goals and KPIs.

Who You Are

University degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Significant experience (10+ years) in the Life Science industry and protein research area (preferably biomolecular analysis and chromatography), with an excellent understanding of customer workflows and challenges.

Extensive experience in early exploratory research, product development, and project leadership.

Experience in Product Management roles.

Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to operate in a global and cross-functional environment.

Outstanding communication skills and ability to convey complex messages and present to both executive management and external stakeholders. You are not afraid to speak up and escalate issues that must be improved to maintain a successful and sustainable business.

Fluency in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
