Interim Marketing & Communications Lead (temporary, potential for permanent)

About Circulose

Circulose is a company that revolutionizes the fashion and textile industry with its innovative material, CIRCULOSE. Designed to tackle the pressing issue of textile waste, CIRCULOSE is made by recovering cellulose from discarded textiles, offering an alternative to traditional raw materials like cotton, oil, and wood.

About the role

Are you excited about shaping the future of circular fashion and scaling a fast-moving start-up? We're looking for an Interim Marketing & Communications Lead to strengthen our voice as we accelerate textile-to-textile recycling at industrial scale.

Based in our Stockholm office and reporting directly to our Director of Communications & Public Affairs, you will play a key role in sharpening our brand, building awareness, and communicating the impact of our technology to partners, customers, media, and the broader industry. 

What you'll do

As Interim Marketing & Communications Lead, you will plan and execute key activities across our growing communications landscape, including:

Strategic & Operational Marketing

·       Manage and develop our brand presence across channels (website, social media, newsletters).

·       Guide, protect, and evolve our brand identity and visual guidelines.

·       Support our brand partners with clear, compelling communications around the use and impact of our recycled materials.

Content & Digital Communications

·       Plan and produce engaging content (posts, articles, videos, case studies, infographics).

·       Maintain and update our website, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and aligned with our brand.

·       Track and optimize performance across digital channels.

Media Relations & Storytelling

·       Identify PR opportunities and coordinate with media contacts.

·       Draft press releases, media statements, and talking points.

·       Support leadership with narrative development and key messages.

Events & Industry Presence

·       Manage our presence at events, trade fairs, and conferences.

·       Coordinate speaking opportunities, booth materials, and partner activations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·       Work closely with our commercial, operational, and value chain teams.

·       Ensure our communications reflect our brand, mission, and technology accurately and impactfully.

About you

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

·       A hands-on communicator comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment.

·       Skilled in social media management, content creation, and digital tools.

·       Experienced in sustainability, circular economy, or fashion (a strong plus).

·       Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams.

·       A strong writer and storyteller who can translate complex topics into clear messages.

·       A native English speaker
