Project Description
Assembling a vehicle in production is a complex optimization problem. Finding an efficient assembly sequence (Bill of Process) at an early stage in the process is of high interest since late changes leads to high costs. This thesis project aims to explore and implement such sequence optimization methods for vehicle assembly using artificial intelligence.

The project is expected to identify the most promising algorithms or methodologies for automated assembly sequence generation, based on a thorough comparative analysis. The outcome will provide evidence-based recommendations on which approaches merit further investigation and optimization for potential deployment in production-level applications.

Your Skills And Background

  • Ongoing MSc in Data science, computer science, software engineering or similar.
  • Relevant skills in Python, machine learning, artificial intelligence, stochastic optimization.
  • Experience in interacting with async API
  • Algorithm development in ML
  • Familiar with Graph Heuristic Search algorithm
