We are now looking for a Sustainability Leader to lead integration and implementation of our Sustainability Strategy across IKEA Range together with our Sustainability team.

As a Sustainability Leader, you will contribute to making sustainability an integral part of our business agenda and ensure that we deliver on our sustainability commitments and goals. You are supporting our Range Areas with expertise, coaching business dilemmas and ways of working. You are part of integrating relevant sustainability topics into existing strategies, frameworks, processes and scorecard through collaboration with all parts of the Range ecosystem.  

Job Description

To be successful in this role we believe that you are able to:   

  • Ensure a common understanding of IKEA's sustainability ambitions and make them business relevant within IKEA Range  
  • Lead integration and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy into IKEA Range and lead the alignment and prioritization of sustainability actions and developments based on impact and relevance. 
  • Lead specific strategic/tactical sustainability projects for IKEA Range and integrate sustainability parameters into range and product development  
  • Support the business with expertise regarding sustainability and how to navigate and prioritize decisions based on a holistic view of the sustainability agenda in the business.  
  • Manage change and inspire stakeholders by facilitating workshops, competence development, and creating support material  
  • Support the integration of key sustainability parameters into communication. 
  • Contribute to developing and implementing relevant sustainability goals, measurements, and follow-ups for IKEA Range  
  • Have familiarity with the Range ecosystem to facilitate effective networking and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, leading to successful outcomes.  

Qualifications

Competence and experience we look for:

  • Extensive understanding of the different Sustainability topics and how they relate to each other in business.  
  • Broad understanding of IKEA business processes, including HFB and Range processes as well as methods and tools, including how to integrate sustainability into these.  
  • Passion for sustainability: energy, drive, and commitment to transform IKEA to be the leader in a sustainable life at home. 
  • Desire to develop IKEA, to lead and implement change in business. 
  • Capability and experience of leading complex topics, making it simple and understandable for the business
  • A positive change maker with can-do attitude
