What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in data protection, privacy, or compliance roles (ideally in tech, SaaS, or AI).
• Deep understanding of GDPR, EU AI Act, and global privacy frameworks.
• You are experienced in building tools, scripting, or coding solutions to automate compliance checks and procedures, enabling privacy features to be deployed at scale.
• You have a builder mindset and don't just write policies, you design practical frameworks that scale with product and engineering.
• You can balance compliance requirements with business realities. You know when to push back and when to propose pragmatic solutions.
• Skilled communicator. Clear, confident, and persuasive. Able to explain complex regulations to engineers, execs, and customers alike.
• Privacy is often about details. You notice what others miss and care about getting it right.
• Comfortable working in a high-velocity startup where laws evolve and priorities shift quickly. Nothing is beneath you, from reviewing a DPIA to jumping on a customer compliance call.

What You'll Do
In one sentence: Build and lead an engineering-first and world-class privacy and compliance function that lets Lovable scale responsibly and globally.

• Own and evolve Lovable's privacy and compliance strategy.
• Ensure GDPR, EU AI Act, and other global requirements are embedded into product and operations - ideally, by you,or your close peers under your supervision.
• Create and deploy automated solutions that enable privacy controls (such as data anonymization, access logging, or consent management) to be rolled out efficiently across large-scale environments.
• Lead risk assessments, DPIAs, and audits - finding how to improve and scale Lovable as the most secure, compliant and safe company and product.
• Manage security, privacy, and compliance certifications (ISO, SOC 2, etc.) together with our security and infra teams.
• Educate and enable the team and make privacy and compliance something everyone understands and takes pride in. Security advocacy.
• Be the voice of trust and support customer conversations and represent Lovable externally on compliance and privacy matters.

• Tech: React, Golang, Rust, Cloudflare, GCP, AWS, multiple LLM providers.
• Infra & Tooling: GitHub Actions, Grafana, Terraform, OTEL.
• IT: MacOS, Kandji, Crowdstrike, Google Workspace
• Process: Privacy by design, security by default, continuous iteration.
