Join our quest in making the world's best co-op action games We're looking for a talented Senior Systems Designer to join our growing design department and help shape the foundation of a brand-new, unannounced project. This is your chance to be part of an co-op action game from the start. You'll be at the heart of building and tuning the core systems, progression loops, and combat feel like an Arrowhead Game.

What you'll doAs a Senior Systems Designer you will:

Drive the design of systems and mechanics from concept through implementation.

Design and implement interconnected systems such as combat, progression, and in-game economies.

Prototype and iterate quickly, testing features with clarity and intent.

Maintain concise, actionable design documentation.

Collaborate closely across art, code, and design for holistic execution.

Ensure systems empower other disciplines and support the overall game vision.

Bring player obsession and systemic thinking to every mechanic.

Mentor and support more junior designers as the project grows.

Regularly and thoroughly playtest, feeding insights back into iteration.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who is not only skilled but thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You are:

Experienced, 7+ years in the games industry, with a proven track record designing, implementing, and balancing core gameplay and systemic features.

System-minded, with fluent understanding of interconnected systems (combat, progression, economies, metagame) and how they drive player motivation.

Fast and iterative, comfortable prototyping, testing, and pivoting rapidly to get to a state of fun.

High-performing and driven, you set clear quality standards, raising the bar for yourself and those around you.

Collaborative and direct, open to feedback, able to challenge ideas respectfully, and thrive in healthy creative conflict.

Player-focused, you bring strong game literacy across genres and design with the player's experience front and center.

Hands-on with Unreal Engine, strong experience with Unreal is essential.

Communicative, strong written and verbal communication in English.

Passionate, you want to build great co-op experiences, and you'll be excited about contributing to our new IP.

You thrive in an on-site, shoulder-to-shoulder environment, working closely with designers, artists, and engineers to solve problems together

Practical InformationScope: Full-time: 40 hours per week with initial 6 month probation period. Location: Office first. You need to be eligible to work in Sweden.
