Procedural Tech Art Lead
Leads Tech Artists to deliver Procedural solutions to the needs of the game and production team.
Responsibilities
- Sets priorities for Procedural Artists
- Responsible for technical quality of tooling
- Reviews and feedbacks on requirements from partners
- Receives priorities from Tool Tech Art Director and/or Product Owners
- Responsible for user adoption of procedural tooling
Qualifications
- Experience from Procedural in game production, most likely at least 5 years
- Has a deep understanding of Houdini and how to implement it in a game environment
- Can lead a smaller team of Tech Artists as manager
- Solid communicator, can represent a team in a group of other leads
Typical Tasks
- Builds procedural tooling, in Houdini or inhouse apps
- Discuss needs or problems with Creatives and agrees on solutions
- Feedback on technical solutions with Engineers as customer
- Plan procedural solutions and convert them to work tasks
- Reviews tools together with tech artists
