Are you passionate about securing and optimizing modern digital workplaces across a global organization? ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is looking for an experienced and collaborative Workplace Security SME to join our IT team in Malmö, Sweden. In this key role, you will be the subject matter expert for endpoint security and management—ensuring our global workforce has a seamless, secure, and compliant digital experience.
In this role, you'll thrive in a supportive, innovative environment that values expertise, ownership, and teamwork. You will collaborate closely with colleagues globally and work with external partners to maintain high standards of security and service quality.
What you will do as our Workplace Security SME
As our Workplace Security SME, you will play a key role in shaping and managing our global endpoint security environment—ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operations across our European locations. You will serve as a technical expert for Microsoft Intune and PatchMyPC, leading configuration, compliance, device lifecycle management, and continuous platform improvements. You will design and refine endpoint security policies, support vulnerability remediation, and collaborate closely with our external service provider to ensure high-quality delivery and drive improvements. You will also guide colleagues in applying security policies, acting as a trusted advisor who can translate technical requirements into clear, user-friendly communication.
You would also:
- Lead and develop our endpoint security and management capabilities, including configuration, compliance, and device application lifecycle activities.
- Maintain and enhance endpoint tools such as Intune, PatchMyPC, and related solutions.
- Design, refine, and implement endpoint security policies and configuration baselines to ensure strong and consistent global security standards.
- Collaborate with our external managed service provider, reviewing SLAs, following up on issues, and driving operational improvements.
- Support endpoint-related projects and vulnerability remediation efforts, contributing to a secure and user-friendly digital workplace.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and preferable previous experience of using Rapid7 and Patch My PC.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security controls, such as BitLocker, vulnerability management, and compliance policies.
- Hands-on experience with Windows endpoint management.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Graph API).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
The ideal candidate is structured, proactive, and solution-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams. Experience with macOS or mobile device management is a plus, as is an understanding of Zero Trust principles and how they apply to endpoints. Additional experience with incident response, threat detection, or security analytics tools is valuable. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Security Engineer, or Enterprise Administrator Expert are considered advantageous. Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS will further strengthen your profile.
