Senior UX/UI Designer

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer with a strong focus on UI to join an exciting 12-month assignment within the industrial technology sector. Starting as soon as possible, this hybrid role (minimum 50% onsite) is based in the clients' office in either Gothenburg or Luleå.

You'll be part of a collaborative team developing the next generation of condition monitoring solutions - web applications designed to provide actionable insights from machine data, helping users detect issues faster and extending the life of industrial machinery. This work is central to driving the industry's shift toward intelligent and sustainable growth.

About the role:

As a core member of the UX/UI team, you will collaborate closely with the UX/UI Lead, product owners, and development teams to shape a cohesive and intuitive user experience. The role involves both strategic thinking and hands-on design work, with a strong emphasis on design system consistency and UI excellence. You'll be part of an agile team contributing to the development of complex products in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UX/UI Lead, Product Owners, and Chief Product Owner to define and deliver UI solutions based on user needs

• Participate actively in recurring design reviews to refine and align design direction

• Promote standardization and guide development teams on design system usage and principles

• Test and verify that UI implementations match intended designs

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into user-friendly designs

• Take part in agile ceremonies and cross-functional team activities

• Share ideas, provide feedback, and co-create impactful solutions within the team

About you:

You are an experienced UX/UI designer who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and enjoys working on technically complex products. Your deep understanding of UI design principles, especially in component-based design, allows you to drive consistency and quality across digital platforms. You value teamwork, are proactive in sharing ideas, and are motivated by contributing to meaningful solutions in a challenging domain. While industrial application experience is not required, you should have a strong willingness to learn and navigate a steep but rewarding learning curve.

Experience and Skills:

• Senior Figma user, i.e. you need deep knowledge and understanding of working with Figma and design systems, especially working with component-based web design (auto-layout, variables, design libraries, responsive design, prototyping, interactivity).

• Proficient in applying web and Document Object Model (DOM) principles to enhance UI design - ensuring responsive layouts, consistent spacing, and intuitive element behavior across platforms.

• Comfortable with an iterative working process, meaning that you share your designs at an early stage to allow feedback.

• Strong communication skills, i.e. having the ability to describe & explain the rationale behind your design decisions.

• Solid understanding of design systems as a concept and experience in the underlying factors of scalability and compliance within design.

• Strong personal drive to get things done in an environment characterized by autonomous teams and high trust in the individual.

• Preference towards collaboration and teamwork. Ask for help when needed and help others when being asked to support.

• Curious and a strong willingness to learn our domain, the products we build and the environment we operate in.

• Experience with agile development methodologies is required.

• Fluent in English, fluency in Swedish is meritorious.

• Experience of working with industrial applications is meritorious but not required
