Portfolio Analyst

This full-time role is ideal for a highly analytical and independent professional with a strong interest in credit markets and a desire to take an active role in driving investment analysis and decision-making.

Founded in 2022, Ridge Capital is an long-biased credit hedge fund focused on the Nordic high-yield corporate bond market. Our flagship strategy, Ridge Capital Northern Yield, is the top-performing strategy in its category. Since inception in January 2023, we've grown to a team of seven and manage over SEK 3 billion in assets under management.

Role overview

As a Portfolio Analyst at Ridge Capital, you will take ownership of sourcing, analyzing, and executing investment opportunities across both primary and secondary markets. You will lead your own cases and manage junior analysts who support your work. You will report directly to the Portfolio Manager, pitching your investment ideas and contributing to the overall strategy. While prior team management experience is a plus, it is not a requirement.

Key responsibilities:

• Investment sourcing & execution:
  Independently identify & lead investment opportunities across credit markets.
• Due diligence & analysis
  : Conduct deep financial and risk analysis to support investment decisions.
• Team leadership:
  Manage and mentor junior analysts to support your investment work.
• Market engagement:
  Participate in meetings with issuers, management teams, and industry professionals.
• Portfolio oversight:
  Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments and contribute to portfolio strategy.
• Reporting:
  Present and pitch investment cases directly to the Portfolio Manager.

What we're looking for:

• Experience:
  Minimum five years of relevant experience in investment analysis or portfolio management.
• Buyside background:
  Experience from hedge funds, private equity, or private credit is a strong plus, but not required.
• Analytical excellence
  : Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of credit markets.
• Initiative & ownership:
  Ability to lead investment cases independently and take full responsibility for outcomes.
• Team skills:
  Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be collaborating closely with both team members and stakeholders.
• Language:
  Fluent in English and Swedish; additional European languages are a bonus.
• Location:
  Based in central Stockholm, with full-time in-office presence required.
