About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Solution Architect
with deep expertise in
integration platforms
to drive architectural design and strategy for our enterprise messaging and data movement systems. The primary focus will be on the
migration of distributed MQ to Kafka
, along with supporting architectural initiatives related to
IBM Sterling (file transfer)
,
Kafka cloud multiregional deployment
, and
API platform integration
.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong experience in
middleware technologies
,
message queues
, and
file transfer systems
, capable of defining end-to-end architecture and guiding technical teams through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the
    architecture for MQ-to-Kafka migration
    in distributed environments.
  • Design and oversee implementations for
    file transfer solutions
    using
    IBM Sterling
    .
  • Contribute to the
    Kafka cloud multiregional architecture
    , ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Support design and integration of
    API platforms
    and middleware solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable architectures.
  • Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Essential Skills

  • Strong background in
    Middleware technologies
    (MQ, Message Broker, Sterling, Batch).
  • Hands-on experience with
    Queue technologies
    (IBM MQ, Kafka).
  • Knowledge of
    Mainframe systems
    and
    DB2 application development
    .
  • Experience in
    integration architecture
    ,
    data streaming
    , and
    event-driven systems
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    file transfer mechanisms
    using
    IBM Sterling
    .
  • Ability to design
    secure, scalable, and cloud-ready
    integration solutions.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with
    API management platforms
    and
    microservices-based integration
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Kafka multiregional deployment
    strategies and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex integration landscapes.

Experience Required

  • 10+ years
    of IT experience, including at least
    5 years in Solution Architecture
    .
  • Proven track record in
    integration architecture
    and
    middleware modernization projects
    .
