Key Responsibilities

Overall areas of responsibility and activities

  • Lead the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems across facilities and utilities (HV, LV, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS, emergency generators).
  • Ensure electrical reliability and compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Support site operations by ensuring safe and efficient electrical power distribution and controls.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities & Utilities Manager to deliver integrated site services.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment supporting production and utilities.
  • Provide technical input for facility expansion, new utilities installations, and energy efficiency projects.
  • Prepare and manage electrical CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • Establish KPIs for electrical reliability, uptime, and energy usage.
  • Manage external contractors and vendors for electrical projects and services.
  • Mentor and develop electrical engineers and technicians.
Accountability/Authorisation·Budget responsibility: Yes – OPEX and CAPEX related to electrical infrastructure.·Direct reports: Yes – Electrical Engineers and Technicians.·Authorised to decide on electrical investments and upgrades according to role and policy.·Category A certification - Elsäkerhetsverket

Requirements

A relevant educational background and prior experience are required for the role.

  • Qualifications and experience
  • BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and maintenance, with managerial responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, industrial automation, and large-scale industrial electrical grids.
  • Experience supporting utility systems and facilities in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety, energy management, and efficiency programs.

Specific skills

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in project management, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
