Your Role

Do you have a passion for building structure, creating efficiency, and enabling success across an entire organisation? As our Head of Operational Excellence, you will lead and establish a new Operational Excellence function, dedicated to strengthening Saab's Air Traffic Management business through effective processes, tools, and support functions.

You will combine a strategic mindset with the leadership ability to build and develop high-performing teams that drive continuous improvement across our operations.

As part of the management team, you will play a key role in shaping how we operate – ensuring that our organisation works efficiently, collaboratively, and with a strong focus on quality and performance.

Your overall responsibility will include the following areas: Purchasing, Process, Methods & Tools, Quality, Technical Documentation, Configuration Management, and IT. Together, these areas form the backbone that enables successful product development, project execution and business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop the Operational Excellence organisation and its functions.
• Drive operational excellence through robust, scalable processes, tools, and methods.
• Ensure high standards and continuous improvement within quality management and process development.
• Oversee technical documentation and configuration management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage purchasing activities and supplier collaboration to secure value and reliability.
• Lead the development and operation of our IT environment, including the transition from a Saab IT-hosted environment to a standalone setup. This includes responsibility for:
• Infrastructure Management
• Device and Hardware Support
• Security & Compliance
• Cloud Service Management
• Employee Support (Helpdesk)
• Software Tools & Systems
• Software Development Environments
• Act as a key partner to all business functions by providing effective support structures.
• Contribute actively to the management team through strategy work, transformation initiatives, and shared business goals.

Your Profile

We are looking for a strategic and structured leader with the ability to see the bigger picture while driving operational improvements. You combine a passion for excellence in processes and tools with the leadership skills to build and develop high-performing teams.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Broad experience from Operational Management in technology-intensive industries.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and build a culture of collaboration and service.
• Strong background in process development and continuous improvement.
• Experience turning strategy into effective processes and ways of working.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across organisational boundaries.
• Experience using AI to improve efficiency and operational excellence is an advantage.
• Fluency in English.

This position requires regular travel between our sites in Gothenburg, Växjö and Apeldoorn, and can be based at any of these locations.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
