As our next IT Manager, you'll be at the heart of ensuring that Mentimeter's global team has reliable, secure, and user-friendly tools to work and grow. You'll lead our IT Operations team, guiding them through daily challenges and long-term improvements.

You'll report to the Security and IT Director and be operationally responsible for one team member within IT Operations — supporting and coordinating their work, but without formal line manager responsibility.

Your mission is to build scalable and secure IT foundations that balance structure with agility — from managing vendors and access governance to improving automation and the employee tech experience. You'll be a key driver in ensuring that Mentimeter's IT landscape supports our growth and global expansion while keeping collaboration effortless and secure.

Please note that this position is located onsite at our office in Stockholm, with the starting date being flexible yet ideally as soon as possible.

Responsibilities for the role

• Lead and support the IT Operations team, driving structure, clarity, and knowledge sharing.
  
  
• Oversee IT support delivery, documentation, and automation to ensure an excellent employee experience.
  
  
• Procure and Manage vendor and third-party relationships, including SaaS, hardware, and service providers.
  
  
• Develop and maintain access governance and identity management processes.
  
  
• Manage asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  
  
• Oversee IT budget coordination and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with People Ops, Workplace, Security, and Engineering to align IT with company-wide needs.

Responsibilities not included in the role

• You won't be managing Mentimeter's product or engineering infrastructure — this role focuses on internal IT operations only.
  
  
• You won't own strategic information security or compliance frameworks, though you'll collaborate closely with Information Security and own controls related to compliance frameworks.
  
  
• You won't be directly responsible for software development, DevOps, or data engineering activities.

Must haves for the role:

• Experience leading IT operations in a growing, fast-paced, or global environment.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of Mac and Google-based environments.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, SaaS environments, and identity/access management.
  
  
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
  
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a user-focused mindset.
  
  
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in a SaaS or tech company with a hybrid or global workforce.
  
  
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  
  
• Experience driving automation and self-service within IT support.
  
  

Not required:

Deep engineering or DevOps experience — this is an operational IT role focused on internal infrastructure, not product systems.
