Project Procurement Manager
Do you thrive on making complex projects run smoothly? At Sandvik and business area Rock Processing, project procurement means you're a key enabler of innovation, keeping critical deliveries on track.
Some words about the teamJoin a Regional Sourcing team that turns bold engineering into delivered outcomes. You're part of a project team working with Engineered to Order solutions for our large customer contracts. We partner with product organizations and suppliers to balance cost, risk, and sustainability and stay close through execution to safeguard performance. We're problem solvers at heart: curious about new technologies, serious about safety and ethics, and committed to building an inclusive culture where different backgrounds and ideas strengthen results. Expect straight talk, shared learning, and support when the road gets bumpy.
About your jobIn this role, you sit at the heart of project sales and execution. You lead sourcing (strategic and operational) and contract strategies for customer delivery projects – from early planning to commissioning. Cross-functional alignment becomes routine as you collaborate with project managers, engineering, manufacturing, quality, legal and finance to lock in scope, timelines and commercial terms.
Critical-path items are monitored daily, and you remove bottlenecks through sharp negotiation, expedited logistics, and pragmatic problem-solving. You make sure that sustainability standards and compliance requirements stay in front and center, ensuring suppliers meet Sandvik's ethical, environmental and safety expectations. This role is a dual – meaning you mainly work with projects and with direct and indirect sourcing.
The location for this position is Svedala and you report to the Head of Regional Sourcing EMEA. National and international travel is a natural part of your job.
Your profileWe're looking for someone with a grasp of project procurement in an industrial or engineering environment – covering competitive RFx designs, fact-based negotiation and contract management. Experience working with complex, engineered-to-order scopes and long-lead equipment helps you navigate technical documentation, specifications and delivery schedules. You're comfortable working with ERP and procurement tools and are familiar with Incoterms, risk methodologies, and supplier performance management. Your knowledge is backed by technical or economic education or equivalent knowledge gained from several years in sourcing, procurement or project complex sales roles. Acting locally in a global organization, you need to be fluent in both English and Swedish, verbally and in writing.
You bring a collaborative and inclusive approach that helps everyone work effectively together. Your curiosity drives you to understand the technical "why," while your pragmatic mindset keeps projects moving forward. You communicate clearly and on time, making it easy for stakeholders to work with you, and suppliers see you as firm, fair, and focused on solutions. When pressure rises, you stay structured and resilient, adapting smoothly when plans change. You have a natural ability to simplify complexity, making things easier for others to grasp. Above all, you value diverse perspectives and create space for everyone to contribute.
Our cultureAt Sandvik, we're tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial. We believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences. Visit our stories hub, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
