Senior Linux Engineer:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer for a long contract based in Stockholm, Sweden

Its paying well and my client can interview asap

Main Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance of Linux systems, including participation in on-call and daily shifts.
  • Manage operational incidents.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute changes based on incidents or improvements.
  • Automate Linux operations using tools such as
    Ansible
    .
  • Act as a technical point of contact for Linux-related services.
  • Coordinate and perform lifecycle management activities (planning, migrations, installation, upgrades, decommissioning).
  • Design low-level Linux solutions based on application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Lead small initiatives and participate in projects as a Linux specialist.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT operations with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives within the Linux area.

Core Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Linux administration within large and complex IT environments.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Red Hat Linux
    (on-premise and cloud).
  • Experience with
    automation tools
    , especially
    Ansible
    .
  • Scripting skills:
    Bash
    ,
    Perl
    , and/or
    Python
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    data centre solutions and technologies
    .
  • Familiarity with
    ITIL
    or similar IT service management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of
    IT security best practices
    .
  • Understanding of
    cloud concepts
    (preferably
    Azure
    ).
  • Familiarity with
    SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
    models.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading or participating in projects as a Linux specialist.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international virtual team.
