R&D Internship – Technology Development in Epigenomics

Are you passionate about molecular biology and eager to contribute to cutting-edge tools that decode the mysteries of the epigenome? Join our team as an R&D Intern and help shape the next generation of technologies for profiling epigenetic markers.

Who We Are

NEXUS Epigenomics is a biotech startup building a platform of innovative technologies to profile the multiple layers of the epigenome in a versatile, easy-to-use, plug-and-play format. Our products are designed to let users efficiently target specific layers of gene regulation. Our mission is to empower researchers and clinicians with sensitive, scalable, and precise methods to explore chromatin states, DNA methylation, histone modifications, and beyond. Our vision is to support advancements in biology and medicine by providing reliable, accessible epigenomic profiling solutions.

We are looking for interns who are excited by the pace of startup life and are eager to contribute to our growth from a small startup to a global leader in epigenomics.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in assay development and optimization of our flagship product
  • Perform wet-lab experiments and contribute to protocol design and refinement
  • Analyze and interpret molecular biology data in collaboration with R&D scientists
  • Explore novel applications of our technologies under development

Who You Are

  • Hold a Masters or a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with core molecular biology techniques (e.g. DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, cell culture) and with method development/optimization
  • Curious, self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic lab environment
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to deliver within a cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Bonus:
    Experience with NGS-based assays (ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, RNA seq), histology, high-throughput -omic workflows assays and/or data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python)
