Senior Test Engineer (Playwright & Cypress):

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer (Playwright & Cypress) for a long contract based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document
    manual and automated tests
    for web applications
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using
    Playwright and Cypress
  • Perform
    integration testing
    related to SAP and other systems
  • Document test results and report deviations and defects
  • Support
    acceptance testing
    by coordinating with stakeholders and end users
  • Contribute to improving
    test strategies, processes, and quality standards

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Minimum
    5+ years of experience
    in QA and test leadership roles
  • Strong experience in
    web testing
    with knowledge of
    JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and API/data calls
  • Hands-on experience with
    Playwright and Cypress
  • Strong coding skills in
    TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Experience with
    API testing using Postman
    (response codes, headers, payload validation)
  • Solid understanding of
    test design techniques
    (risk-based testing, exploratory testing, etc.)
  • Experience using
    Azure DevOps Test Plans and Test Cases
  • Good understanding of
    test processes, test strategies, system integrations, and data flows
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration and acceptance testing
  • Excellent Swedish (spoken and written)
    – mandatory

Beneficial / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience setting up and managing
    Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with
    Azure Cloud services
    (App Services, Functions, Storage, API Management)
  • Full-stack or web development experience
  • Knowledge of
    SAP integrations
    and ability to read logs and understand system relationships
  • Experience with
    web analytics tools
    (Google Analytics, Piwik PRO)
  • Experience creating reports and analyses in
    Power BI
