Your role within our Kingdom
You'll be part of the Decision Automation team for Candy Crush Saga - a cross-functional team focused on enabling Faster. Smarter. Player-centric decisions at scale.

Working alongside analysts, product managers, game designers, and AI/ML engineers, you'll lead the design and implementation of ML systems that:

• Automate complex decision workflows.
• Personalize experiences for hundreds of millions of players.
• Reduce manual operational load while boosting impact and efficiency.

Our mission? To change how Candy makes decisions - moving from manual, feature-by-feature tuning to real-time, player-centric decision automation. From in app purchase offer optimization to feature personalization, your work will directly shape how Candy Crush Saga evolves and delivers joy to players around the world.

With 250+ million monthly active users, the scale is enormous - and so is the opportunity. This role demands both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder management - influencing strategy, aligning diverse teams, mentoring peers, and representing our work across King.

So, what about you? You're not only a technical expert but also a collaborative leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You have experience in several of the following areas:

Core Expertise

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience applying Machine Learning in production, covering the full lifecycle: prototyping, training, serving, and monitoring.
• Strong foundation in advanced ML and data science concepts, with a proven ability to apply them in large-scale systems.

Practical Software Skills

• Proficient with GCP data products (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including CI/CD for ML workflows.
• Experience designing robust, scalable, and maintainable ML systems in collaboration with MLOps.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with accountability for delivery and quality.
• Skilled at managing diverse stakeholders - from game designers and product managers to data analysts - balancing technical depth with clear, outcome-focused communication.
• Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments, bringing clarity and direction amid ambiguity.
• A supportive mentor and coach who helps others grow while fostering a culture of collaboration and learning
