A respected European economic consultancy is expanding its competition practice across Scandinavia. The team advises top law firms, corporates, and regulatory bodies on some of the most complex competition matters in the region, covering mergers, market investigations, antitrust litigation, state aid, and regulatory analysis. The firm is known for rigorous economic thinking, data-driven approaches, and clear, outcome-focused advice.
Role
You'll join a high-performing group of economists working at the intersection of markets, policy, and analytics. The role offers the opportunity to lead significant workstreams, shape project strategy, and contribute to cases that have real impact on competition and market outcomes across Europe. You'll collaborate with experienced colleagues and have the freedom to take on meaningful responsibility from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver economic analyses on high-profile competition cases
- Apply robust data-driven and econometric techniques to complex market questions
- Build and manage relationships with clients across legal, corporate, and regulatory sectors
- Provide clear, well-reasoned economic insights that influence case strategy and policy decisions
- Support the development of junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, evidence-led culture
Key Skills
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Economics
- Native or fluent in Swedish, Danish, or Finnish
- Proven experience in competition economics, ideally within consulting or a regulatory authority
- Strong analytical capabilities, with experience applying economic and econometric tools to real-world cases
- Confident communicator with excellent written and client-facing skills
