Assignment Overview

For our client, We are seeking a senior
SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect
to take end-to-end ownership of the S/4 solution architecture. The role is responsible for safeguarding architectural integrity across the S/4 landscape, ensuring that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with both SAP best practices and the client's long-term enterprise architecture strategy.

You will act as the architectural authority across multiple delivery streams, balancing functional, technical, integration, and data perspectives while supporting leadership with clear architectural guidance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, define, and govern the overall SAP S/4HANA solution architecture
  • Ensure architectural consistency, quality, and sustainability across all S/4-related initiatives
  • Review, challenge, and approve solution designs across functional and technical streams
  • Act as the final escalation point for complex or high-impact architectural decisions
  • Ensure alignment between:
  • Functional solution design
  • Technical architecture
  • Integration landscape
  • Data and information architecture
  • Drive adherence to SAP best practices, including
    Clean Core
    , extensibility, and standardization principles
  • Support senior stakeholders and leadership with architectural risk assessments, trade-off analyses, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide architectural guidance to ensure long-term maintainability and future readiness of the S/4 platform

Required Competence & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience
    in SAP architecture roles
  • Proven
    hands-on experience as an SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • SAP S/4HANA architecture principles
  • SAP Activate methodology
  • Clean Core strategy and extensibility models (in-app, side-by-side, BTP)
  • Demonstrated ability to govern complex SAP landscapes and guide multiple delivery streams

Additional Qualifications (Meritorious)

  • Experience from
    retail
    or
    large consumer-facing enterprises
  • Experience working in large-scale, enterprise-wide SAP transformation programs

Working Model

  • On-site presence in
    Stockholm at least 4 days per week
    is required.
