Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden SAS Full time 400,000 - 1,000,000 per year

Maintenance Control Leader

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being the central link that keeps operations running smoothly? Do you bring hands-on aircraft experience and a talent for coordinating people and processes? If so, this role could be a great fit. In this position, you'll lead a team of nine Maintenance Control Engineers and play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient operations across SAS Link's growing fleet.

Challenges you will work on

In this highly dynamic role, you will oversee the daily airworthiness coordination of our Embraer E195-E1 fleet and play a key role in ensuring a safe, compliant and efficient operation within the SAS Link CAMO team. You maintain a clear overview of the fleet's technical status, coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and secure minimal downtime through proactive planning and structured communication.

  • Ensuring that Maintenance Control Engineers follow CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition) procedures and maintain a safe, airworthy operation.
  • Managing daily maintenance coordination in AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance and Operations System), including planning downtime and documenting events, discrepancies and work carried out via the shift tracker.
  • Leading the team's 24/7 operational readiness by developing and controlling the shift roster and supporting day-to-day decision-making.
  • Providing daily updates to Technical Services on fleet serviceability and deferred defects and informing Operations and Flight Crew of any operational restrictions.
  • Liaising closely with Operations Control Center to align aircraft allocation with maintenance status, health data, lease conditions and operational needs.
The team

As an Maintenance Control Leader, you will guide a dedicated, international team of nine Maintenance Control Engineers who work fully remotely from various locations. You will provide clear leadership, foster collaboration across distances, and ensure smooth team operations. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with multiple functions, including Supply Chain, Operations Control Center, and Flight Ops, and work hand-in-hand with Carlos, the overall team leader.

To be successful, we believe you have
  • An EASA Part-66 aircraft maintenance license or an aeronautical degree with eligibility to obtain a Part-66 license
  • A couple of years' work experience in Commercial Air Transport or a similar technical area
  • Proven maintenance and regulatory competence, including practical experience with aviation maintenance standards, safe operating practices, relevant CAME sections, and solid knowledge of applicable regulations and mandatory requirements.
  • Have received initial Fuel Tank Safety, Human Factors, and EWIS training
  • Fluent English skills; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a merit but not a requirement.
  • It is a plus if you have experience with AMOS, Embraer E1, or previous leadership responsibilities.
  • A collaborative, curious and proactive mindset, comfortable in a changing environment, eager to learn, and effective in cross-functional collaboration
  • Structured and reliable, with clear priority-setting, strong communication skills and a professional, responsible approach
