We focus on antenna systems, communication and sensing for future 6G, and secure optical networks. Our work supports a more sustainable and efficient communication infrastructure. The division is strongly involved in education and thesis supervision. CAOS researchers also participate in several major research centres at Chalmers.
About the research projectOptical communication networks, foundational to modern society, face security challenges that put upper-layer network services at risk. This project addresses network security from a multi-layer perspective, focusing on SDN-controlled networks and vulnerabilities in virtualized scenarios. The work involves developing multi-layer risk models, creating risk mitigation tools for 5G infrastructure control and management, applying AI/ML for real-time monitoring of optical networks, and implementing intelligent policies to increase resilience of network services to breaches of fiber infrastructure.
