Öhlins Group AB, a world leader and innovator in the design and manufacturing of shock absorbers, front forks and steering dampers is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel. Since January 2025, Öhlins Racing is a subsidiary of Brembo. Brembo leads the world in the design and production of high-performance braking systems and components for top-flight manufacturers of cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles.

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel who will be an integral part of the international legal team, reporting functionally to the Group General Counsel and hierarchically to Ohlins CEO/CFO.

The role

The role will provide legal support to Öhlins Group AB (SE and abroad subs) and SBS (DK), one other subsidiary of Brembo. The role is broad and business-oriented, working closely with the Brembo team, business and the organisation by providing legal support to management and key stakeholders, as well as implementing compliance initiatives and processes.

The role includes:

  • Day-to-day corporate legal work, including corporate governance, board matters, and company formalities
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Providing legal advice and support to the business in operational and strategic matters
  • Liaising with and managing external legal advisors when required
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of internal legal processes, templates, and guidelines
  • Supporting compliance-related matters and educate/train the organization
  • Communicate to management in case of any relevant developments in laws and regulations
  • Manage legal IPR topics and aspects related to the patent filings

The position is based in Upplands Väsby (Sweden), and you will have the ability to travel within Europe, United States, Asia, as needed. You will work in a global and dynamic environment with the opportunity to take proactive part in projects which involves different countries.

About you

You have a law degree and 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (corporate law and/or commercial agreements) gained from a law firm, a consulting firm or an in-house legal role. Fluency in Swedish and English is required.

In order to be successful in this role you need to be business-minded, solution-oriented and have strong communication skills. You are collaborative, pragmatic, have a low-prestige approach and are confident in interacting with both legal and non-legal stakeholders in an international context.
