The PreSales engineering team is the technical partner to Sales. We provide unanticipated value and strive to provide the right solutions to our customers. Our team possesses the deepest levels of technical understanding and builds relationships to understand customer business drivers. We match these to Akamai's technology, and clearly articulating complex solutions to our customers.

As Solutions Engineer, you'll build relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to our customers, delivering innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer. You will become an expert in Cloud and Cybersecurity.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Growing revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demo's and proof-of-concepts.Collaborating with internal Stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer facing role delivering technical products or services.Demonstrate knowledge in Cloud and Internet technologies, including security solutions, compute, content delivery and web architecture (DNS,HTTP,TCP/IP,TLS).Have interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer focused mindset.Have a thirst for learning and embracing new technologies.Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment.Be fluent in both Swedish and English
