The Senior Production Planner is responsible to plan, schedule, initiate and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to ensure optimized support of operational demands. In this role you are highly involved in continuous improvement to make our processes more efficient, improve our use of systems and participate in projects to optimize inventory and secure on-time delivery. With a central role in the organization, you are in collaborating with many internal functions both in Sweden and US which gives a dynamic work environment and the possibility to create a large network across the company.

This position is part of Global Planning organization and will be located in Solna (on site). At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Optimize the production plan and secure production orders for our filling lines and eliminate unplanned downtime – taking into account material and line restrictions, remnant inventory as well as change overs, lot sizes, customer need etc.
  • Have close collaboration with R&D, Engineering and Product life cycle teams in order to plan work requests and new products
  • Problem solving cross functions to meet challenges with materials, demand changes as well as manufacturability.
  • Develop and drive standard work for Planning to minimize manual work and better use our systems and reporting tools
  • Participate in, lead and be part of the continuous development of Daily Management.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area paired with minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning roles or similar OR Master's degree paired with minimum 3+ years of experience in planning roles or similar
  • Experience from SAP including master data maintenance
  • Advanced user in Excel
  • Proficiency in English
  • Previous experience from working in advanced planning systems

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • S/4 Hana
  • Power BI
  • Medical Device, Life science or similar industry
  • Swedish
