Job Title: Ab Initio Consultant

Total Experience Required: 6+ years in Information Technology/Computers/Software

Relevant Experience Required: 5+ years in Data Engineering environments.

Contract Duration: A minimum duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to 18 months or beyond, depending on project requirements.

Workplace Type: Hybrid (at least 3 times a week at office)

Languages Required: English

Visa/Work Authorization Status: Candidates must hold a valid work permit or visa to work in Sweden

Work Location: Stockholm, Sweden

  1. Must be currently based in Sweden or
  2. Willing to relocate to Sweden from anywhere within Europe or the UK
  3. Candidates outside Europe/UK unfortunately cannot be considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of business-critical initiatives within a banking resilience programme.
  • Contribute to SAS model migration and target sourcing streams.
  • Design, build and optimise data processing solutions using Ab Initio.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, secure and scalable data operations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and enhance data quality and performance.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Ab Initio including GDE and CoOperating System.
  • Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting.
  • Strong SQL capabilities and experience with relational databases.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise data environments.

Optional Skills:

  • Exposure to Azure Synapse and Databricks within data analytics programmes.
  • Experience working on banking or financial services transformation initiatives.
