What You'll Get To Do
As a CAD and Mechanical Design Intern, you will gain experience from working hands-on with our engineering team to model, visualize, and prototype key components of our reactor systems. Your work will support both technical development and communication of Blykalla's technology.

You will contribute to

  • Develop and refine SolidWorks CAD models for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Design 3D-printable prototypes for demonstrations and testing.
  • Participate in the full prototyping process, from concept to printed part.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and nuclear engineers to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to improving CAD file management and design documentation workflows.
  • (Optionally) explore FEA or thermal modeling if aligned with your background and interests.

Who You Are
You are a student in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related field — for example, through a university program or a LIA internship.

You enjoy bringing designs to life and take pride in precision, creativity, and teamwork.

We believe you have:

  • Basic knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • Experience or interest in 3D printing.
  • A curious mindset and attention to detail.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in a technical environment.
  • (Bonus) You're applying together with a fellow student to collaborate and support each other during the internship

What You'll Gain
During your internship, you'll gain hands-on experience in an innovative technological environment, insights into next-generation nuclear energy, and practical skills in CAD modeling, prototyping, and engineering visualization — all of which will strengthen your engineering foundation.
