About The Scania Group
The EEPCT group at Scania performs accelerated ageing test of vehicle parts that contain electrical or electronic components. This includes e-machines, lithium-ion propulsion batteries, charging inlets, computer screens, lamps, USB-chargers, LIDAR etc.

Are you passionate about embedded systems, sensor technology, and real-world testing? Join us in an exciting diploma work project aimed at understanding the formation of condensation inside vehicle headlamp lenses.

Project Overview
This project focuses on measuring humidity, temperature, and air pressure using digital sensors to analyze the environmental conditions that lead to condensation inside headlamp assemblies. The goal is to gain insights into the physical processes and contributing factors, ultimately supporting improvements in headlamp design and performance.

Scope of Work:

  • Set up sensor logging systems using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar microcontrollers.
  • Perform measurements in both laboratory environments and real-life conditions on trucks.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and triggers for condensation.
  • Collaborate with other Traton Group sites to gather data across varied climatic conditions.
  • Extend the project duration to cover seasonal variations for more comprehensive results.

Education
M.Sc. Engineering degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics, Energy systems, Mathematics or other related field.

  • Estimated time: 20 weeks (the academic institution determines the length)
