The Role — Fashion Designer

We are seeking a
Fashion Designer
who can interpret MÅNELLA's poetic universe into tangible, couture-level garments. This is AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP. You will design the next generation of
MÅNELLA pieces
— from lingerie and silk robes to pajama sets and lifestyle accessories — all rooted in celestial storytelling and refined Scandinavian aesthetics.

This is a
creative collaboration role
— ideal for designers who see fashion as art and emotion, not trend or mass production. You'll work closely with the Founder to transform conceptual ideas into detailed, production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Development

Develop seasonal capsule collections aligned with the MÅNELLA brand vision and tone (moon phases, femininity, emotion, energy).

Sketch original concepts for lingerie, robes, pajama sets, and soft accessories.

Create detailed
technical drawings, moodboards, and fabric direction
for each piece.

Interpret celestial and poetic themes into wearable design language.

Material & Craftsmanship Direction

Source and recommend premium fabrics — silk, lace, feather trims, and other high-touch materials.

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material quality, sustainability, and tactile luxury.

Propose color palettes and fabric finishes inspired by moonlight tones (champagne blush, ivory veil, lunar silver).

Sampling & Product Development

Work with production partners and sample makers to realize prototypes.

Oversee fit testing, draping, and technical adjustments.

Ensure each design retains emotional softness while achieving technical precision.

Collaboration & Creative Dialogue

Work closely with the Founder on concept refinement, styling direction, and lookbook curation.

Collaborate with marketing and photography teams to ensure product designs align with campaign storytelling.

Contribute creative input for future categories — e.g., loungewear, ready-to-wear, or limited couture pieces.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Fashion Design / Textile Design
or equivalent experience.

Proven experience designing
lingerie, sleepwear, or luxury womenswear
.

Proficiency in
CLO 3D / Illustrator / Photoshop
for digital design and visualization.

Strong eye for silhouette, proportion, and detail finishing.

Understanding of sustainable production and fabric sourcing preferred.

Portfolio that reflects elegance, femininity, and refined design thinking.
