Full-time (or part-time) English speaking nanny, Östermalm

We're now looking for an English Speaking nanny to join a family with two children of 8 and 14 years old. The position can be 50%, 75% or 100% of full time (which would mean 20, 30 or 40 hours/week on average.), as the family has another person who can help out as well if the nanny isn't working full-time. (The nanny will have a guaranteed monthly salary and paid overtime.)The exact schedule will vary from week to week depending on the parents' work commitments.

The duties will include:

Dropping off and picking up the children to/from school and activities.

Helping out with homework in the afternoons.

Sometimes stay overnight when both parents are travelling with work.

Occasional weekend work

Flexibility to work evenings a couple times per month

Childrens' laundry (only)

Keeping the childrens' rooms tidy

Organising and sorting among the children's things, for example sorting out clothes which have become too small, toys which are no longer played with etc.

Cooking for the children

Help packing for the kids for travels

Make sure school/sports bags are packed with the correct kit

The nanny will need to be able to travel with the family on occasion (might be possible to leave out if the nanny is not working full-time)

The family is very down to earth and believe it's important for the children to learn to look after themselves, the nanny is therefore encouraged to help teach the children to do things on their own. It's important for the family that the nanny and the children can have fun together and the nanny should be a person who likes to join in and do things together with the children. The nanny should also be a good role model for the children and lead by example. They want the nanny to encourage outdoor play and sports which the children like a lot. The right candidate should be reliable, a good team player as the family also has a full-time housekeeper which the nanny will be working alongside. It's important that the nanny has a "can-do" attitude and is happy to help out with what's needed. The nanny also needs to be happy to work with a schedule that changes from week to week.

The children speak both Swedish and English but it's important for the family to have a nanny with a high level of English so the children can keep developing their English.

The family lives on Östermalm and the position will commence as soon as we've found the right candidate.

Vi kan erbjuda högre lön upp till 210 kr/tim för nannies med mycket erfarenhet och/eller pedagogisk utbildning. Fasta månadslöner förekommer inom vissa tjänster.
