Procurement & Costing Specialist (f/m/d) Polymer System Solutions

Our Polymer Business Unit develops, manufactures and sells cutting-edge polymer connecting solutions and systems for thermal management applications in electric vehicles and industrial segments. With our development hub in Gothenburg, a newly acquired production facility in Anderstorp, and dedicated Sales and Engineering teams in all key regions, we serve global OEMs and Tier suppliers worldwide. We are expanding our team in Gothenburg and are looking for a Procurement & Costing Specialist for our polymer business. You will be responsible for sourcing polymer materials and components, negotiating supplier contracts, and conducting cost calculations of new product and system offerings for customer quotes. Furthermore, you will coordinate production ramp-up and localization activities in different regions. The role requires a close collaboration with R&D, Sales, and Production to ensure efficient procurement, quotation and logistics processes for our global polymer operations. 

Responsibilities 

• Identify, evaluate, and select polymer raw material and component suppliers  
• Conduct cost breakdown analyses and benchmark pricing across regions 
• Negotiate prices and contracts, ensuring favorable commercial terms 
• Calculate / estimate total cost of new products and system offerings and prepare detailed cost breakdowns for customer quotes and RFQs 
• Develop and maintain cost models that reflect current pricing structures and production realities 
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, cost competitiveness, and delivery reliability 
• Support tool kick-off processes and mold sourcing decisions, ensuring supplier readiness and ramp-up capability 
• Act as interface between R&D and production locations and coordinate the localization of new products and production processes in Oetiker production locations 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement global logistics and distribution processes for polymer products to ensure smooth customer order fulfillment 
• Create procedures for inventory management and maintain inventory controls for all materials 
• Plan sales projections and production capacity needs (Sales & Operations Planning) in close collaboration with Sales, Program Management and Production 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing / procurement, ideally in the automotive industry or Tier 1 environment 
• Proven experience in international supplier development and negotiation 
• Deep understanding of injection molding processes and tooling 
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and VDA standards 
• Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills 
• Fluent in English and Swedish, any other language is a plus 
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced automotive environment 
• Willingness to travel internationally
