We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Program Management to lead and oversee complex organizational change initiatives within our company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business transformation by leading a team of internal and external project managers, that together develop and execute strategic plans and projects that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness across the company. You will work tightly together with Arelion senior management to define a successful program plan, oversee dedicated project managers / workstream leads across functions, and provide hands-on support where needed.
Key responsibilities will include:
Program Strategy, Planning and Resource Allocation
Develop a comprehensive program aligned with the organization's objectives and goals in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Create detailed program plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) are defined.
- Define required resources, including personnel and budget, to meet program goals and deliverables.
Apply frameworks for quantifying, qualifying and prioritizing improvement initiatives, and support business case development/management decision material.
Leading the Program Management Office
Manage and coordinate multiple projects within the transformation program, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to secure necessary resources and support.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues to keep the program on track.
Ensure that the quality of deliverables meets or exceeds expectations.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Change management
Work closely with department heads and project managers to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization; Foster collaboration and information sharing among project teams.
- Develop communication plans and engage with stakeholders at all levels to drive buy-in and commitment.
- Assist in identifying, collecting, and documenting improvement opportunities in line with program objectives; facilitate workshops and cross-functional discussions where needed.
Apply change management best practices to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish monitoring mechanisms to track program performance and report on KPIs to the executive team.
- Provide regular updates on program status, risks, and successes
- Develop and manage the program budget, tracking expenditures and making necessary adjustments to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Proactively identify potential gaps towards program objectives and KPIs and engage with functional leaders to define mitigating actions
Skills & Requirements
This role requires strong leadership, project management, and change management skills to ensure the successful execution of transformation programs. You are highly determined and thrive on delivering impactful change, while being empathic, supportive and team-oriented.
Your qualifications will include:
- Proven experience as a Transformation Program Manager or a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex, large-scale transformation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Well-versed in common frameworks for process re-engineering and enterprise IT architecture.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus; proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
