Job ScopeHigh level purpose of function.The Senior Director of Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing processes are efficient and cost-effective, while also meeting the needs of customers and other stakeholders. She / he oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Ensures the effective and SAFE use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.Key ResponsibilitiesOverall areas of responsibilities and activitiesKey responsibilities include (but are not limited to)Establish a Safety / Quality first culture within the manufacturing teamPrepare and manage annual budgets, capital expenditure plans, and cost control initiativesDevelop and implement manufacturing strategies (5 year plan) that align with the overall goals and objectives of the companyMaintain overall business and stakeholder relationships with the senior leadership teams in Lyten Ett / Unions / Customers / Suppliers.Effectively communicate with other departments within the company, such as sales, marketing, and financeRecruit, train, and develop a world class teamEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure manufacturing performance and drive operational efficiencyOversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize workflows and resource utilizationAccountability/AuthorizationBudget responsibility: YesDirect reports: Yes (5) / Overall Team >500Authorized to decide on investments according to role and policy. RequirementsEducational background and previous experience required for the roleQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing (MBA or a master's degree in engineering or operations management is a plus)10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellenceStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologiesExperience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiativesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisionsAbility to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentSpecific skillsExperience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations in a high-volume environmentFamiliarity with industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and digital transformation initiativesPersonal success factorsSolid language skills, including written and spoken English - Swedish is a must.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teamsExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder managementProactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving operational goalsAdaptability to changing priorities and a commitment to fostering a positive team cultureWhy Work at LytenAt Lyten, you'll be part of a team that's redefining what's possible in energy, materials, and manufacturing.
