With offices in Malmö (HQ), San Diego, New York, Singaporeand Sydney, we are scaling up fast. Now we are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us in Malmö and play a key role in taking Web Manuals to the next level.

About the role

This is no ordinary CTO position; this is your chance to shape the future of a global SaaS product while staying close to the tech. You will be driving modernization, AI integration, platform scalability, and technical team growth, all while working side by side with senior leadership to turn vision into reality.

You will be the technical torchbearer for our platform, balancing strategic thinkingwith hands on execution. You will lead our engineering efforts, improve workflows, and guide our evolution as we break into new markets and expand our product's capabilities.

Who you are

You are an experienced technology leader with a track record of driving transformation in complex SaaS environments. You have likely held senior positions like CTO, VP of Engineering, or Head of Technology, and you are ready to take ownership of both long-term strategy and daily technical excellence.

You are passionate about solving real world problems with tech and have led modernization initiatives at scale. You thrive on turning legacy systems into future proof platforms. You are comfortable toggling between boardroom conversations and deep architectural discussions.

You bring a solid understanding of topics like security, scalability, and AIand enjoy guiding cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver. You lead with clarity, inspire your team, and build strong partnerships across the business.

Your key responsibilities

● Lead the longterm technical strategy and architecture of Web Manuals' SaaS platform, with a focus on modernization, scalability, and security
● Champion AI initiatives by leading model evaluation, technical implementation and cross-functional adoption
● Oversee the modernization of the legacy backend and contribute to system design and architecture choices
● Set and translate high level strategic goals into actionable plans and ensure consistent execution in a hyper growth environment
● Take active ownership of operational technical work including hands on contributions when needed
● Support ongoing maintenance and technical operations, balancing new feature development with platform stability
● Manage, coach and support at least one direct report, with future responsibility for scaling the broader engineering team
● Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance and Support to ensure aligned priorities and an efficient end-to-end development lifecycle
● Engage directly with enterprise customers to support technical requirements, compliance and secure delivery
● Continuously improve engineering workflows, testing practices and development efficiency across the team
● Actively contribute to the executive leadership team with technical insights and business-oriented decision making
